The German pharmaceutical company, Bayer, first announced its intentions to merge with the St. Louis based Monsanto in September 2016, stating their intentions to become one of the biggest Agricultural giants as a result of the cash buyout, at this time Monsanto was recognized as the world’s largest GMO seed producer. Additionally, Monsanto also produced a number of agricultural pesticides for farmers, such as the locally popular “RoundUP”.

These companies make the case that they need to get bigger to help them respond to climate change, changing diets, growing populations

– Pat Mooney, executive director of the ETC Group

Ironically, as of 2018 the merger shows little evidence of having significantly impacted climate change or world hunger for the better, however, further research & analysis has deduced a strong correlation between the ingredient glyphosate & the development of cancer in consumers.

Unsurprisingly, Monsanto now faces a world of legal trouble following the result of their most recent case, Johnson vs Monsanto.

A California groundskeeper who was originally diagnosed in 2014 with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is now the first, successful victim to gain a favorable ruling over Monsanto. Although his case was one of the 4,500 currently being faced by Monsanto, the process was expedited due to the severity of his condition & short life expectancy. It’s without surprise that following the 8 weeks of hearings, the jury unanimously sided with Johnson.

Jurors unanimously found that Monsanto — which vowed to appeal — acted with “malice” and that its weed killers Roundup and the professional grade version RangerPro contributed “substantially” to Dewayne Johnson’s terminal illness. – Daily Sabah

I remind you that this hearing is only the beginning in the battle against cancer, a number of commonly used food products have been found to contain traces of the carcinogen, glyphosate due to using sprayed crops. (Quaker Oats, General Mills)

I invite everyone to continue their own research to ensure your diet is Carcinogen free..
